We are seeking an accomplished and creative Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of The Bristol Bol as part of the hotel’s pre-opening team. This role is central to shaping the hotel’s culinary identity, delivering exceptional dining experiences, and setting the highest standards of quality, creativity, and consistency. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a passion for innovation, and experience within luxury hospitality environments.

This is a seasonal position offered on a fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and implement innovative, locally and seasonally inspired menus, balancing contemporary and classic cuisine while reflecting the positioning of The Bristol Bol.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients, manage inventory effectively, and control food cost in line with budgetary targets.
  • Work closely with hotel management and the Food & Beverage team to align culinary offerings with the hotel’s luxury brand standards and guest experience objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing, promotions, and special events across our dining venues.
  • Stay current with culinary trends, guest preferences, and industry best practices, driving creativity and innovation within the kitchen.
  • Play a key role in pre-opening planning, including kitchen setup, SOP development, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or high-end dining environment.
  • Experience with international luxury hotel brands is highly desirable.
  • Previous pre-opening experience is a significant advantage.
  • Strong creative skills with the ability to design and execute high-quality, innovative menus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development and performance.
  • Excellent organisational and operational management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
  • Fluency in English and a regional Balkan language is required.
